From the remote mountains of Huehuetenango, this beautifully balanced coffee comes from Finca El Panal, produced by longtime grower Jorge Mendez—a direct neighbor to the Martinez family and the famed Finca Vista Hermosa community. This coffee is a perfect example of why Huehuetenango remains one of Guatemala’s most loved regions.

Expect a cup that’s very sweet and incredibly clean, with a juicy, syrupy body and layered fruit character. Notes of black cherry and stone fruit lead the way, followed by a gentle citrus lift, all grounded in rich toffee, caramel, and a hint of dark chocolate on the finish.

  Harvesting: Coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked in the steep, high-elevation terrain of Huehuetenango to ensure only ripe fruit makes it into the lot.

  Wet Mill Processing: The cherries are processed using the farm’s own wet mill, giving Jorge full control over quality from start to finish.

  Fermentation & Washing: The coffee is fermented and washed to create a cup that’s known for its clarity, sweetness, and clean finish.

  Drying: After washing, the coffee is carefully sun-dried on patios until it reaches a stable moisture level for export and roasting.
